Okay, so I'm visiting my sister and her boyfriend with my bf and we were shopping today. I bought Dark Angel's season 2 and only paid 8 euros (roughly 10$) for it. You heard me, 8 euros! Now that's pretty darn cheap for an entire season of a tv series around here, so I'm pretty darn pleased about it. ;)
What's even better, is that I probably should've paid 20 euros (about 25$) for the season, which already seemed like a bargain to me, but as the sales person read the barcode the amount that popped up was 8 euros instead of the 20 I was expecting. I was surprised of course, but tried to act like everything was like it was supposed to be. Then the sales person proceeded to close the hatch of the cash register and shoving the 20 euro bill I had just used to pay my purchase with into the plastic bag with the dvds. I just stood there for a while, then I handed the bill back to her, took the receipt that was still hanging from the cash register and nicely said to her that she was probably supposed to give me my change. *g* First the sales person was baffled and then it hit her. She smiled a lot and said how good it was that honest people like me existed. Felt a bit guilty then, 'cos I didn't correct her when she charged less for the dvds than what she should've. ;) But it was just too good of an opportunity to pass by! And besides, it was the machine's fault, it read the barcode and immediately announced the wrong price. Not much she could've done about it, and she was preoccupied with something else as she was serving me.
Now, you might be asking yerselves, why didn't she just grab the 20 euro bill along with the dvds and go?! Well, I felt like I should at least pay something for the dvds, even if the price was lower than it was supposed to be, just couldn't walk out of there with free dvds in hand, for some odd reason. ;) *g*
