Peekaboo! I'm alive! :) Had to post 'cos I feel like crap. :/
Made this mistake earlier in the week at work, which resulted in extra work for a lady at another library, whom we share the database with. Didn't realize my error until today. 'Cos well, the lady phoned us today. She didn't know it was me who'd made the mistake and after the earful I received from her, I was too scared to confess anyway. I mean, what do you expect when you practically start the phonecall with "Our records are all f***ed up and it's your fault!"? o_O (I believe there were 5-8 DVDs with faulty info, that I'd okay'ed, in the database, to which she now had to manually input the correct info.) I apologized to her on our behalf of course, and told her it must've been an honest mistake (as it was). That'll teach me to pay more attention when making changes in the database, which I do not plan on making for a veeeery long time now, unless I'm certain only our material is at stake. :/
Am so not amused by this, feeling all m3h about the whole thing. The lady did have a point, but couldn't she honestly have thought up a nicer way of letting me know of my error? Gawd. *shudder* I hate angry confrontations. Make me feel all miniscule and unworthy. :(
But off I go now, work ended 10 minutes ago. Thank God I've got Thursday and Friday off in addition to the weekend, not all that enthusiastic about work right now.
EDIT: On second thought, let's reserve the term 'lady' to women who can actually act with some decorum. From now on, I'll just refer to this person as The Woman.
