had dance rehearsal with silk road today, found myself looking at the clock...the dances are fun, but man i thought that joy of motion had their shit together. the bethesda studio is in such bad condition, floors are crooked, bathrooms smelly and filthy, and really bad air circulation, i have to take a bath everytime i leave from there. i'd rather rehearse in my own room. ANywayz...enough complaining. my weekend was fruitful i believe, all relies on following up with a contact i made. ohhhh boyyy. performed at a women's right rally and got a free tshirt, it looks like they will be editing a video of the event, they interviewed me on camera and recorded the performance. hoping i make the cut! i really really like what they are doing, supporting women in saudi arabia. they were mainly focused on the fact that saudi women cant perform in the olympics, but man there are TONS of other thing saudi women cant do, i would spread more awareness about those things as well, pretty unbelieveable how limited their options are in saudi arabia.
after that i went to see an aquaintance of mine alex gold dj. he owns the art center called the fridge where i performed once. its fun hangin with him, kickin it and talkin tunes. he played some sick ass stuff while i was there. he also introduced me to phillipa hughes who runs pink line project, and i need to FOLLOW UP WITH HER in addition to this doug dude. keep procrastinating. UGH. i wanna have some sort of business conversation with Drew though first since he is good at negotiating with people, i need those skills. back to pink line, i really want to perform at all the events that go on in that biz. might also have to follow up with alex about his dj gig since he has expressed interest in having a belly dancer to add to the show.
im finding that dance is drawing me in more and more, i really need to find another job. i am playing with and idea of LIVE silent film, even with big ass cards that say things and such. it really difficult finding time to rehearse with other peeps, and they seem to have such flex schedules unlike me.
