have i posted about how much i love Batman Returns? even if i have, it totally deserves a second mention as possibly being one of the best movies of all time. i love me some Labyrinth and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (and Magnolia, while we're at it), but Batman Returns totally wins in the Tim-Burton-Awesomeness-and-Feminist-Angst-Brilliance category.
while we're on the supject of superlatives (we being the royal we, of course), i found myself crying in the car listening to Tim McGraw's Don't Take the Girl again yesterday. this song should definitely compete in the Saddest-Song-of-All-Time category; i can remember crying over it every time i've heard it since i was 11.
