she whittled at the wood til it became a tree

i have had immense pleasure:
+ taking the surfboard out for its inaugural run, even though my shoulders are sore as all get-out now.
+ finishing all pending knitting projects and finding a new pattern, and a new knit shop to buy new yarn and needles. mmmmm*.
+ making my own chai, which is so much better than that crap that comes in boxes.
+ dancing dancing dancing.
+ enjoying the "perks" of my job, which include exemption from library fines. i'm keeping this copy of America: the book forever, bitches!
+ flossing. maybe everyone else already knew how cool this is, but i am impressed by this discovery. i had no idea my mouth could feel this clean.
+ finding shells that look strangely like vaginas. i'm thinking this must be some kind of religious experience; something akin to seeing the virgin mary in the mold growing in your refridgerator.
+ laughing.

i have not enjoyed:
- the numerous nightmares that have visited recently.
- losing things. and by things i mean my debit card, my spare debit card, my work keys, and a few dollar bills. it's like i've got a gnome infestation happening here.
- pessimism about family units.
- the growing mountain of laundry in the closet. the next apartment needs to have a washer and dryer. this is getting out of hand. i'm worried some sort of mutant reaction is going to take place in there and my panties are going to become sentient and go on a rampage.

what kind of rampage would mutant panties go on?

*just in case you're interested, i want to make this with these (i have 10s in B, and i'd like 15s in P), but i'm looking for an alternative to the lion brand yarn. i can't seem to find anything else thick enough, though. :(
