I've been having problems over at
degrassi_icons and this is the second time this has happened. Two months ago I posted
a multi-fandom icon post at my journal with eight Degrassi icons in it. I went through to all the applicable fandom icon communities, post a teaser of that fandom's icons and a faux-cut back to my journal. Of course, this was fine everywhere,

Rules are rules, simple as that. Some people -do- find multi-fandom posts annoying, apparently she does as well and that's why the rules are there. It's not as if she's trying to be a "Soup Nazi" about anything, she HAS tried to make the community better for it's members. ( She changed the rules according to what the members said they wanted. )
The second time, simple enough, you DID break the rules. Although the rules were changed, you still broke them. You only posted 2 Degrassi icons, the limit is 4. And honestly, how hard IS it to put your credit in your original post in degrassi_icons? It seems to me that linking back would take more time.
I know that maybe you don't agree with the rules, but honestly, they're there, and yes, you did break them. If you really have such a problem with the rules you should have said something, you should have said so here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/degrassi_icons/1092752.html?view=7761040#t7761040
Not posting your icons there anymore is up to you, as well as making another Degrassi icons community. But a name like good_degrassi_icons seems like you're trying to say that the icons at degrassi_icons AREN'T good. It's just a tad condecending. :|

It just makes me mad for it to be such a chore to post my icons somewhere. All I want to do is be able to share my icons with the Degrassi community at large, and I didn't think linking to where the credit was would be a problem. If I'd linked to my userinfo saying the credit was there, would my post have been deleted?
It just all seems very silly to me.
And most fandoms have "elite" or "good" icon communities. It's not to say those icons aren't good. It's just to hold up to maybe a higher standard of icon making. Is it condescending? Probably. But it just makes for a place where people can go to find icons that aren't just any old thing.
Anyway, point being, I just don't see any need to be all rule having. It just upsets people.
