Well, I helped put someone in prison for life today.
I've been on jury duty for the last three weeks, sitting on a murder case, where someone was killed by having their head caved in with a brandy bottle. The boy who was killed was younger than me, and the two people that killed him were younger than me.
The one who hit him with the bottle hung himself in prison. Today, we sent the other to prison.
The sadness of this has just hit me. This is three lives ended or ruined by drunken twattery. And now that the genuine adrenaline rush of debating and reaching a verdict has worn off, I'm a little bit upset by it all.
I'm not enjoying having to be an adult in the real world.
