flea wars.
I got a kitty. named her mog. shes adorable. brought her home and she was completely CRWALING inFesTed with fleas. Luckily I saw them --although no person with working eyes could have missed em. I am so mad at the lady who gave her to me since she said on the phone for sure that the cats weren't outside and had NO exposure to fleas. (She also said they were 12 weeks and they were easily 6 months old)
These things [fleas]weren't just a few.. there were HUNDREDS. Crawling into her eyes and mouth. When we looked at her first at the ladies house she tricked me for the first little while since they were wet and she 'gave em a bath' .. yah right, she soaked the three cats to make sure the fleas HID! They seem to not like water.
On the car ride home as she started to dry they were crawling ALL OVER HER FACE!!! So I thought fast and bought some shampoo for fleas and a collar on the way home. R and I went straight to the bathroom armed with rubber gloves.. When we put the shampoo on the fleas all tried to hide in her nose.. ooh the poor little mog kitty.
They seem to be ALL gone now.. I havent seen one in over 24 hours so this is good. an hour after treating her and combing through her fur they were almost all gone. The lady was from Camden East actually.. really irresponsible.. I have half a mind to call the paper and let them know since she advertised there.
I have since ordered a flea pill for her which should be here in 3 days. Its one of those once a month deals. Hope shes okay on it. Its so nice having a little creature around!!! even if i had to de-flea her first.
Shes really sweet and shy.. smart though.. I trained her in 15 minutes how to fetch. I throw this little ball and she brings it back TO THE SPOT without playing with it if I ask. so cool!
Anyhow nighty night bedtime now!
