As of late I have been my mind has been brought back to the time spent at Meridian High School. The feels good and bad. Remebering those that I met, talked to, even had crushes on

You're not a joke...but you are right, you need that drive. It's tough, too, though, when you can't even get a loan because your co-signer is already up to their eyeballs in two other contractual obligations.
At least you have some idea, though... I mean...I know I could do more than I'm doing now, too, be it with that $7,000 piece of paper I got or without. BUT, the catch is, I don't know what the hell I want to do. The only thing that makes my heart sing is animation, but there are all of these reasons, logical or otherwise, as to why I can't/shouldn't do it. It's the only career choice that gets me to the point of tears when I think about it. Beyond that...I have no idea.
You have some idea, though, and what's more, you have more than one idea. And I've heard them. And I don't think they're impossible. Maybe a difficult road to travel, but not unreachable, unattainable.
Remember what you're dreaming about, and try to reach. Research. Spend more time trying to be proactive about it. Make lists. Spend time working on it, instead of playing them (yeah, in this case, talking about game design...and while you're researching through playing, I'm sure there's more depth you could go into with that particular study).
And don't automatically assume that everyone that you see is judging you. Remember that the teachers that are seeing you are probably also seeing the people buying their cigs and Red Bulls checking out their groceries, or fixing their cars...or making their burgers. Not everyone out there is above everyone else, and living a wonderfully glamourous lifestyle (or what have you)...hell, I'm still in the town I went to school in, and I sometimes wonder about the opinions of the people around me...but I'm usually too busy to let it bug me for too long.
Sorry that this reply has been nearly as long as your entry, but...hey...
