Does anyone like to see their friends get hurt? I don't think so. If you can consider them real friends anyway. And why would your friends do something with you or condone you doing something that would hurt you? What kind of friends are they? People don't even know what friends are anymore. You don't condone something that will hurt someone you know. Especially when you are supposed to really know them, maybe be close friends, even best friends. For example...would you allow your friends to try a drug, knowing the fragility of their emotional state? They could use this drug to escape the feelings that they often say they want to stop feeling. What kind of friend allows that? Answer: No friend allows that. Given, everyone makes mistakes, some more than others, but some mistakes cannot be made. You can call me a hypocrit, call me whatever but I consider myself a good friend. I don't want my friends to do drugs, even once if I can help it. I don't want my friends to get involved in risky behaviors if I can get around it. I want them to be healthy and develop good coping skills. I want them to talk to me when their upset, not go take something and feel better for a few hours. I want to be the solution, not the problem, and if I ever am the problem, I'll do whatever it takes to change that. I want to make my friends feel like they're the best thing to ever come into my life because each of them are. I want them to feel special all the time and to know that I'm there for them regardless of the situation between us. I want them to know that once you're a friend, it basically remains that way til death. I don't drop friends. Even when we grow apart, as time changes everything, I'll still be there if they ever need me. Ugh....I apologize for this rant, but I'm upset at a comment made to me earlier today.
