Thanks! I just finished BSG so I want to try and see more of MM so figured I'd try MC but I've nvr watched Closer although I wouldn't mind checking it out I've always saw it was popular

At the very least read up on the events of The Closer if you're going to watch Major Crimes so that you understand how/why the main character departs. Some of the plot does make it's way over to Major Crimes, including an ongoing case that the team are involved in.
