And yeah, the conversation about Jack. This makes so much more sense than what we got in canon.
And I love that Sharon makes it clear he doesn't have to take care of her, and that she's there to take care of him.
Love the awkward hug. It's so wonderful and sweet. And I can just picture Sharon squeeing inwardly about it all day.

One of the MANY things that I love so very much about them on screen as well. ♥

Of course she did! She got a hug from her third child! I totally think that she has a photo of her kids on her desk at work, and one of her and Rusty too. And I am sure that the greatest gift she could receive is to one day be able to have a photo of all FOUR of them on her desk. ♥
Thanks for reading! :D

Thank you! I really wanted that sweetness and need for affection to shine through the bit of awkwardness.
most of the time actually, it's simply about being present for the person.
Exactly!

that image of him putting the pillows back on the couch in just the right spot killed me.
I could just totally see him doing something like that. This is his first real home, this is his first real parent, I can see him desperately trying to keep everything exactly as it is because he loves Sharon and their home so very much, and he needs them so very much.
Happy, happy birthday once again! :D
