I agree though, they need a break - all of this stuff is turning them into stress-balls. That said, while reading that first section regarding Andrea and her sense of protectiveness, I do wonder how she'd have reacted to recent events (namely Jackson and the 'little' bully Lewis who not only insulted Rusty horribly but also *cough* possibly hit on Sharon *cough* (seriously though, am I nuts, or was that "How old are you?" line just the slightest bit... uhmm... oddly toned (that and the way his gaze went on her)? ><" I might be crazy).

This fic is AU in that Jackson and Sharon are properly divorced and he doesn't crash at her place whenever the hell he feels like it, nor does he come after her for her hard-earned money to co-sigh leases, etc. In regards to the Lewis thing, I can imagine that Andrea would have made sure (were she the prosecutor) that he would have gotten the maximum sentence possible for a boy his age. And yes, that kid creepily hit on Sharon. And it was gross. :(
Thanks for reading! Chapter two will be up tomorrow. :)

YES! Because I didn't want him intruding at all. *huggles the both of them* and *shudders*. Ah, I'm glad I wasn't imagining it... :)

No, no dear, you were not imagining it. Jackson is very deliberately left out of the fic.
(I'm speaking only for myself right now) I cannot write him, his personality and addictions are very triggering for me as I have a close family member who is almost exactly like him, and he has caused a great deal of hurt for me personally and my family. So, I will never write him into a fic. I just can't do it without being reminded very much of this family member of mine, and those are memories/realities I'd rather not experience while writing fic (which is supposed to be my fun hobby). :)
