I'm glad that you like the details about Sharon's family; since we don't know much about them it's fun to imagine who they are and what they're like. I can't wait to actually meet them on screen!
Thanks for reading. :)

And Andy's creating a comfort space for her, too!
I totally friend!ship her and Andy, as well as her and Provenza. I can really see her connecting with them as fellow parents.
Thanks for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

And Rusty is giving me all the feels here. I bet he hates this time of year. Poor kid.
And Sharon wins all the prizes for best mom. She knows exactly what to say, and I love that she's sensitive to his feelings about all the things. *hugs Sharon*
Their deal is perfect.
Also, I'd love to see a sequel. Or just more Sharon and Rusty in any fic. ♥ them, and you write them so beautifully.

I really wanted to write a scene where Rusty and Sharon confront the issue of "traditional" versus non-traditional families. I can see Sharon, despite her religious views, being totally open and excited about all kinds of families outside of what the church may consider "proper." And maybe Rusty doesn't know that at first, so it was really important to me that he hear it right from Sharon herself that it's okay to make your own family instead of being born into a family. Love is so much stronger than the bonds of DNA.

Aww, thanks. :) Not sure about a sequel but I totally have plans to write more Rusty and Sharon. I ♥ them.
Thanks so much for reading! :)

Sorry it took me so long to review today - I worked both of my jobs today and just now settled down.
This story was great. I loved Sharon easily sensing Rusty's sadness and trying hard to make him feel better, to let him know that they were a family regardless of what any catholic school might say. I also liked Sharon & Andy bonding in the beginning.
Great job! Thanks again!

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I tried to combine the Raydor and Rusty love with some Flynn and Raydor bonding, I hope that we get the chance to actually see them bond over their roles as parents this season. :)
