Laura and Bill, ready to take in more surrogate family <3
Saul as a father really would have been a great storyline. I mean, he was with the cylon models, but we never saw them interact that way. His very brief moment with Nicky is so telling though.

Oh, I totally agree. It's one of the decisions made by the writers that I will never understand. :( Saul would have been a wonderful parent.
Thanks for reading. :)

This is a beautiful sentiment-- She hopes the blood on both their hands doesn’t stain their child’s future. More than anything, she hopes that he can have a future. I would have loved to see them really talking about this subject, and this is a great, plausible take on it. I love how in tune they are with one another here. ♥

I love Bill being happy for Saul, and Laura's inner thoughts reflect positive feelings about Saul that make sense from a fanon POV but we didn't get to see. And I really love Bill and Laura (especially her) talking about them having a future of watching this child be born and grow. Such a nice contrast to her focusing on convincing Bill she's dying at this point.
I can see Saul as a sober, doting, on-the-snarky-side older father. He would have been awesome :-)

sln1 makes a great point in her comment bellow, Laura knows that Saul's son will help Bill to move on after her passing. Even though he will always miss her, at least she can take comfort here in the fact that he will have love and family with him still when she is gone.

Oh gods yes, he would have been so endearing as a father. I would have loved to have seen that.
Thanks so much for reading :D

Thank you. The on screen resolution to their story was such a disappointment to me after all the time invested in it and the dramatic potential inherent in the prospect of them having a child,(not to mention that I found Saul's abandonment of Caprica after the miscarriage completely dishonourable and therefore out of character), that their relationship is one I have found interesting to explore sometimes. I'm glad it's made you think again about them. :)
