“Morning,” Bill said softly. He was sitting at her desk, shuffling through their agenda for the morning.
“This is beautiful Bill.” An errant tear slipped down her face; she had thought that she would never see another flower in this life. “How?”
“The Botanical Cruiser has been growing them. They’ve successfully created two different breeds,” he said. “I liked this one, the colour…”
She leaned forward to offer him a soft kiss of thanks.
“It’s perfect,” she whispered.
