Title: Common Ground Pairing: Adama/Roslin Rating: T Word Count: 300 words Disclaimer: Not my characters or television show A/N: Thanks to redrockcan for all of her encouragement.
That was so sweet, and from such an interesting point in the show. I love seeing them at the point of shy knee-touching and getting to know each other while not breaking any eggshells :-)
Great drabble!! I love them feeling(so to speak) eachother out early in the series. Wonderful discussion about marriage and interesting thoughts on how Bill ended up with howler.... erm... Carolanne!!
I can see Bill being sort of at a loss as to what is/isn't an appropriate topic of conversation with Laura. Before her, anyone on his ship was family to him; so how does he integrate this strange, stubborn, woman into his family? :P Thanks for reading.
I like the corresponding stories - that they both had young, impetuous love. But Laura, ever the practical one, stopped to think and may have saved herself a bad marriage while Bill rushed in with his emotions. Of course, I sense a melancholy in Laura's hesitation too. Maybe she wishes she had made that mistake so she could have shared her life with someone a little sooner, had babies.
And shared stubborness. THe best common trait in a relationship imo!
I am glad that you enjoyed my little head canon for them. :P It's a lot of fun speculating about their lives pre-attacks, I love exploring that. Thank you for reading. :)
