Helenes in the City

I have to tell you, ladies, last night was SO much fun!!! First of all, ice skating in Pershing Square was a blast, regardless of the crappy skates and choppy ice. I can't wait to get the pictures developed. I liked the fact that it was just a small group of us, it made it more personal. Dinner at Bistango's w/ Kara, Briana, & Rachel Elias was fun as well. But the highlight of the evening was definitely our spontaneous excursion to see Phantom for the 4th time at the Arclight with Samantha, Katie, & Danielle. Seeing all of us sitting there, breathless & teary-eyed at the end was just totally amusing. Have you recovered yet? That was just the perfect ending to a really hectic first week of classes and I think this eboard has some truly good times ahead of us. Thanks for a truly Phan-tastic evening, ladies!!!

Highlights of the first week of school:
- Officially becoming a performing arts writer for the DT. My first assignment is the Groundlings, which is just too perfect for words.
- Musicals class w/ Dr. Casper on Wed. First he got on his knees and serenaded me w/ "Blue Skies", then he asked me "What is the 2nd most important thing to a whore?" which worries me that he thinks I would know that, then he asked me to bump & grind w/ him (which I did not to, sadly), then he slow-danced with me from behind while singing "You Were Meant For Me" from Singing in the Rain, then he pulled me, Katie, & Susan up on stage and asked us to pretend to be showgirls, then he advised me on what shows I need to see in NY. I think I'm gonna ask him if he'll be one of my references on my Mortar Board application. Can you believe its already that time of year? I'm freakin' nervous.
- First Helenes meeting of the semester!! It was great to see everybody again!

This Sunday is the Golden Globes, aka 2nd most important day of the year.
