(no subject)
Well, there's nothing really exciting going on. I have finished knitting some things (which totally falls in line with my NY's resolution - read wrong, it could be New York's resolution, oh well). I haven't bought any yarn in the month of January. I'm not doing any shows for right now (but readings are a different story, even if they're staged, wink wink). Bought a few things like Stephen King's new book Duma Key which I started Sunday night and am enjoying thus far, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and I started it, but I don't think I was ready for it after The Kite Runner, not as good as of yet, but I will go back to it (which is also part of my New Year's resolution - to finish reading books instead of just putting them in a pile next to my bed [FYI: that pile is HUGE].
Part of this whole New Year's thing is to try different things, so one of the things I've decided is to read a classic every few books or so. And at least one serious novel a month. So, I picked up Howard's End by E.M. Forster and that will be my Oprah book of the month. Serious and classic all in one. That's for February.
Also, spoiled myself a bit by picking up a $15 iTunes card. Purchased Amy Winehouse: Back to Black the B-sides (BRILL!!!!), Irreplaceable by Beyonce but in Spanish (F@#$ING AWESOME!), Clumsy by Fergie, cause though I hate Fergie, that song is adorable, Boyfriend by Ashlee Simpson, cause the guitar riff is cool, I'll Be by Edwin McCain (a somewhat oldie, but a goodie), Apologize by One Republic and Timbaland, cause I love it, End of the Road (gotta beef up my Boyz II Men). And I just realized that giving you my songlist reveals how truly gay I am. Well, long live the pink!
Oh, and one other thing: VERONICA MARS rocks! I love this show. We're in the middle of season two and there have been guests spots by some of my favorite Buffy peeps: Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter and JOSS WHEDON himself!!!!!! He was bad, but it didn't matter, because it's FUCKING JOSS WHEDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
