Lots of stuff happening in the Big Apple

I've been trying to make my last month here super-fantastic!

First of all: The girl who played Julia in The Wedding Singer really impressed me, and I didn't get to greet her at the stage door because I had to go to work, so I emailed her from her website and she wrote back:

"I am so glad that you had a good time at the show ..I am having a blast up there and I just love the stage. My advice is..no matter what anyone tells you, it is not personal...work hard and dream big you can do it... good luck ...and hey see all the shows you can ..you can learn so much from others"

Isn't that so nice?

THEN... I was checking my yahoo mail and the opening page was like "Find out if a celebrity lives on your block" So, in true stalker fashion, I clicked on it. I found out that Kristin Chenoweth lives THREE blocks away from me! I freaked out. She's only one of my FAVORITE broadway stars.

I had an audition for Urinetown today (which is weird because Plymouth is doing it in the spring, but this was for a theatre company in Long Island). It was pretty much how I had immagined it. The "unofficial list" was there just like my acting teacher, Kate, said it would be. They chose to honour it, so I was number 49. They decided to type (which means you go in the room, stand in line and they pick who they want to see by looks) I didn't even get typed in. I think it was because I'm too tall, which I have come to conclude is going to be my biggest obstical in this business. However, I met a lot of really great people, and it was a good experience.

ALSO Ken Quiricone was there. I FLIPPED OUT when I saw him! So we went to starbucks while we were waiting to be typed. He got typed in and got to audition. I hope he gets it.

I went to Broadway in Bryant Park after my audition and got to see Spelling Bee, The Fantastiks, Drumtasick, and The Actors Fund perform. One of the guys in Spelling Bee was in Avenue Q when I saw it, and I love him, so I went to go get a picture with him, and when I got there, Frenchie Davis (from American Idol/Rent) walked over to him and started talking, so I got a picture with Barrett Foa, Frenchie Davis, and another guy from Spelling Bee. I was SO happy... wait till you see the face I'm making in the picture. Haha!

Anyway, now I need to go buy milk because it is my turn, then I'm going to look for more auditions (I definitely have another one on the 18th!!!) then I have to go to work, but it's ok because it's PAY DAY!
