Good news! Iceoplex just opened up again and WE GOT A GIG! WOOOOO HOOOO!!! I hope we kick some ass this time around.
This really means a lot and I want to kick ass on stage. The gig is around the end of May so I have almost 2 months to get this down!
The reason why playing at Iceoplex is a big deal for me is it's acutally a place to play! Strangers will be there! YAY! And it is where Issue 10 got started. Now I hear they are touring with Reel Big Fish. Good for them! (Jealousy factor sets in)
Here is my checklist for the show that I must work on:
1. Getting back into decent vocal shape. (I haven't been taking vocal classes this semester.)
2. Lose some fucking weight (Maybe if I wasn't so fat I'd be at least presentable.)
3. write, write, write (some new songs would be good)
4. be picky (pick out our best songs not crap ones that'll confuse people)
5. Learn stage antics (Showman ship is what it is all about!)
6. Effects (We need to start using effects. Especially with me on bass.)
I think that about sums it up so hopefully we can get some people we know to go, skate, fall on their ass, and listen to us play.
