Elizabeth pointed this out to me while the football game was on last weekend: how can you two support a team that plays in Gillette Stadium, and a quarterback who allowed himself to be used as a political prop by Bush the other night in the State of the Union address?

Just curious... :]

Well, we did like the Patriots way before all of that had happened first of all...

The Gillette stadium thing really does not appeal me... you know being against gigantic corporations who use sports as another advertising tool and all... it really is disgusting. If it were up to me no stadiums, or teams for that matter, would be owned by big business. Actually if it were up to me, it should really be like in european soccer where in some places the public/cities pretty much own the teams (you know, kinda like Green Bay).

As for Brady, heh I am not going to tell the guy what he should be doing with his free time. I don't really care, all I care about is how he does on the field. I really didn't pay much attention to that State of the Union crap.

Either way, all I am trying to say is I don't really mix sports with politics, if I were to do so I probably wouldn't enjoy any of it, right?!

I'm not referring to the fact that they play in a stadium that bears a corporate name - I'm referring to the fact that they play in a stadium tha bears the name of all things - of a razor company! You know, if it were Pepsi Stadium, or Molson Stadium, or Verizon Field, or almost anything else, it wouldn't run quite so counter to your social views...

Oh, and I'm not seriously expecting either of you two to not like the team because of any of this, it's just funny. C'mon, you've gotta see that this is pretty funny - Sonia and Alex cheering for a team that plays out of a razor company's stadium. :)

Don't you guys watch some TV show called Queer as Folk that not only has women who are completely shaven but men as well... That's kind of funny too, if you think about it!

Eh, whatever, I'm certainly not as anti-shaving as either you, Sonia or my wife. I don't have that strong an opinion about it. I mean, I wish people didn't feel like they have to shave, but I don't want to make the decision for them either way.
