The Real World: Gelderland!
I've been looking at job openings for a starting IP/ICT lawyer. There's a remarkable array of possibilities. I want to work at a mid-sized firm, because at some point the boyfriend and I will want babies. If I have a 60+ hrs job at, say , Van Doorne or Lovells, that's just not going to happen. And that would be sad :-( Luckily for me, there are a lot of firms looking at expanding their IP/ICT practices. The thought of sending letters and going to interviews freaks me the fuck out though. I could do with a nap right now, as I'm almost done hyperventilating.
On the fannish side of live: Me, Sis and the boyfriends have tickets to see FOB in Amsterdam on the 26th. I'm so excited! I have to admit that, even though FOB was basically my gateway into fandom, I'm much more attached to Panic and MCR, both musically and fannishly. But, FOB! And Concert! All good stuff!
I'm contemplating spending the 26th in Amsterdam. On the plus side we'd be in Amsterdam for the day, so we could go to a museum and/or the Bijenkorf. On the down side, we'd be in Amsterdam for the day, a city I hate with a fiery, unfounded and slightly unhealthy passion.
On the other hand: American Book Center! That's always good.
It's probably going to depend on the state of my thesis at that date though, sigh. I'm really ready to be done with this sucker.
