Crows
The café resorted to hanging
metal crows, black as fear.
The resident pigeons had
presumably migrated.
At the table, we cawed
endlessly about internships:
H was paid S$7900,
A got into Goldman Sachs.
We didn't believe our fancy
shirts and ties were uniforms.
Above us, the crows began spinning
from strings chained to the roof.
We were at the mercy of winds,
pretending to know flight.
Eyes shining with arrogance
as if we’d seen the sun;
hiding under a fabric roof
mistaken for clouds.

In other news, school is proving to be a consistent pain in the ass (P.I.T.A.) after 2 months of calm. Aside from jacking ourselves with a crazy project, the exchange worksheet submission deadline is tomorrow, and BOSS bidding starts and ends during the period of time we're most likely to burn for presentation.
China is true to its culture of slow workers, who don't reply emails, not even in the top Unis. I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN CLEAR COURSES THERE DAMMIT. That's the gratitude I get for gracing them with my AWESOMENESS. I really don't know where I can go, there are too little compatible courses unless I decide to take Marketing as a 2nd major. Which I had earlier done so but am very prepared to drop! There's no double-counting for ITT and Marketing. See? This is why you should plan your course schedule in year 1.
