Invertebrates
Catching the last bus tonight,
my luck run out when I sat behind
a couple in love.
Her head rested like a cliché
on his unflinching shoulder.
I felt embarrassed by
the handicap of my own shoulder.
Recalling the last time, long ago--
the memory evaporated
with a muffled roar of the bus’ engine.
In a weak imitation,
my head slumped into the
rough, invertebrate backpack.
I tried to sleep.
After a few stops,
the couple alighted and disappeared
into a night only lovers know.
I slumped sideways, borrowed
the windowpane’s shoulder
and ignored the rattles.

I have my last mid-term paper this Saturday. And I've just frittered away a whole day facebooking and surfing the Net.
Mid-term break's not really a break. I'll probably be back in school everyday to meet up for projects. But the weekend's gonna be exciting! :) My friend's asked me to help out in his end-of-semester short film! I hope I don't disappoint. I'm holding back the red-orb highlights till after the shooting! :)
In other news, I finally BELONG. Have just joined the first FB group that fits me to a T.
It's called Real Men Wear Pinafores.
