Summary: Sam has changed.
Sam has changed. Dean sees it all the time: how he looks at people, holds himself, even how he speaks to Bobby. It was already happening, gradually, but someone pushed ‘fast-forward’.
It is in Sam’s face. Dean recognises the same look he saw in the rear-view mirror as he cradled Sam’s body in his arms - only harder, more determined. It is the look of one willing to die, but who knows they must continue.
Sam said he needed to become him, but Dean doesn’t know how to tell him: Sam is more Dean than Dean will ever be.
