*sobs* Dollhouse RIP. 1/29/09
It has died too soon.
I knew I wouldn't be ready for such a ending as the Dollhouse finale. let me first say that I will ALWAYS love this show. even when clearly it's passed from me. I can't really explain it.
it was original and fresh and way beyond it's time. and I thought I was prepared for the sad ending. I thought that the victums of Joss Whedon would be Victor&Sierra..but did that happen? no. Joss pulled one right beneath my nose.
he killed Topher.
my Topher. the character whom I loved just as much as Victor, and at times more so. he was such a complex character, funny, and immoral sure but he grew as a person within these two years. and I didn't see his death coming.
I thought he would be safe, because they already killed his girl Bennett, who torture someone whose already lost as much? and besides the torturous ways, Joss Whedon has been known to kill off Couples. main couples. like for example.
Buffy/Spike - NOT THAT I SHIP THEM OR ANYTHING, but he DID Kill Spike off in the Finale.
Willow/Tara - also someone I don't really ship, but he killed Tara off.
Buffy/Angel - never got a happy ending AT ALL.
Xander/Anya - Anya killed off.
Fred/Wesley - Killed off both characters.
Cordy/Angel - NEVER SHIPPED, BUT she died.
Giles/Jenny - Not the biggest fan, but I have respect and what happened? Joss killed off Jenny in season 2!
yes yes, Joss Whedon likes to kill off people from multiple shows. from Firefly, to Angel. he does not like Happy endings. which is why I thought Victor/Sierra would be doomed.
but no, he killed off someone.
not only did he kill Topher, the man killed Claire too!
I ship Topher/Claire and he killed them both. [not like they were together or anything. Claire hated Topher, but STILLL]
So, in my mind. Topher and Claire [or whoever she actually is..O_o] are in Heaven together.
Bennett too I guess. he's with the woman who effected him the most.

Now on to the less then depressing stuff because I don't think I can handle the tears.
Echo/Paul...Paul got killed..but he ended up in Echo's head so I guess that works for them. I don't see how, but it's how it went. I mean the whole time I kept thinking is, Paul's in Echo's head along with 100 other personalities. what about that murder-guy? he wont be too happy..nor will all those others, and what if Paul and Echo fight in her head? [it's possible right?] they realize they don't care as much for each other as they think?
yeah I know I know I'm just thinking to myself.
all in all, they better not want to break up, because if that's the case, then Paul's screwed.

Now..the moment, I've been waiting for.
my beloved Victor/Sierra. the ones I thought would be killed off, and wanted to be happy in the end.

that's right. Priya and Anthony apparently were very happy, till Anthony got addicted to the enprovements that Topher 2.0 did to him, and left..but not without leaving Priya with a Baby Boy. haha. now why would I be okay with that?
Because it was made prefectly clear that A) They still loved each other, B) Anthony did it to fight the war on Rossum. to Protect both Little Tony [aka T.] and Priya. and C) it was agreed to keep the tech away from T.
so what happens? Anthony becomes a Man. [not that he wasn't before.] ditches the Tech and gets introduced to his Baby Boy. whom he didn't know.
yes yes, it's a Fairy Tale ending. in fact It's unbelieveable.
I'm so effin' proud of Joss Whedon. I mean, don't forget I'm effin' pissed at The Topher thing, but OMG he made a couple who stayed together and not die.

Now, I have to cry my soul out because I will never see new footage of Victor/Sierra again. :(
