Trying not to squeal like a schoolgirl over an offer I got last night. Need to make an icon of Umbra with a madcap psycho glee grin à la Lackadaisy.
...I may have a silly corporate desk job but I'm on shift and there's a cat at my foot. Life ain't bad.
On the topic of critters it's looking like I need to move Chaly to two hoppers at a time. She's been hunting almost nonstop for a month or two even after she's been fed. She's getting huge - over 42" at last shed. Three and a half feet, Jesus. Apep on the other hand remains a lazy sod who only really comes out to hunt enthusiastically after a shed. At this point I'm really regretting not being able to afford an incubation setup because as late in the season as it is she sure is fat and active.
Ah well. Next year she'll definitely be ready for some eggs, and barring disaster I'll be ready for piplings. It's highly doubtful I'll have a car by then but if I have a license at least I should be able to hit some expos. This is pending some research on Travis county laws regarding animal breeding, though. Hopefully they won't cockblock me.
