Hey...it's my journal and I won't write if I don't wanna
So it's been a long time since I've written anything of any value in this damn thing. I seem to mostly use it to keep up with my friends that do regularly write. I guess it's high time I put pen to paper so to speak...
Wedding plans are in high gear. With only 7 1/2 months to go, there is much to do and much time to do it in. With everything else we do, it will be tough to get it all done. We did apply for our passports yestarday, though. (Yay! Check one item off the list!) Plenty of time for them to come in, be wrong, and get them fixed before the honeymoon to Ireland. Everything else is going well. Glori really does all this planning stuff well. It must be a girl thing. If it were up to me, I would probably wait until Nov 1 to get moving on any of it. Good thing it ain't up to me or we'd be getting married at a gas station with the reception at the stripclub :)
Autumn is getting big. She's 12 now and growing like a weed. I love that kid. We spent some nice time this past weekend just doing stuff. She came with me to Hebron on Saturday and made mudpies while I did some faire stuff. Then we went home and just chilled out. One of the things she loves about coming to Dad's is it is Television Paradise here. We have pretty much every channel you could want but at her mom's in VT she has 3. Yep...just 3 channels and one of them is PBS. So she does tend to want to watch as much good TV as she can when she's down. She loves just snuggling up with Dad to watch movies too. I hope that never changes. One of the things I am worried about is that as she gets older, she will start to have other interests that will keep her from coming down on my weekends. Soon enough it will be her choice and I won't have any say. That is really scary...and it makes me a little sad. OK, a lot sad, but we won't go there right now...
Paintball Season is ramping up but then that never seems to ramp down :). We played all thru this winter and had a blast doing it. Now we have a couple big games coming up that hopefully the whole team will come out for (Cough Cough: MERLIN!) OMG!! I just now found out that the team has all chipped in to get me down to a game in Florida this coming May as a pre-wedding gift! Fuckin A, boys! I don't know what to say except THANKS!! That game is going to ROCK! It is being held at a military base in their mout training facility. I can't wait!!!!
Faire. What can be said about the faire? Well, it's gonna rock but I gotta tell you. I am a bit worried after what I heard on the news this morning. Seems that La Nina is in effect in the Atlantic Ocean and that will probably mean for a more aggressive hurricane season. Fuck. Hopefully since we are running so late this year, we will dodge that bullet. I dunno. Other than that worry, I am super excited about the expansion we have planned, the new acts we have, the CTRF music cast (one of my favorites of the entire day!) and of course, our awesome main story line! This year, with the help of 40,000 of our closest friends, CTRF will be THE faire to attend.
