Crazy times. I'm still very much umemployed, but now I've got a hobby or two. I spend my days waking up early and going to my parents' house in order to stock market it up. I've been doing this for the past two weeks (while on spring break from TCC) and it's been pretty awesome. It's definitely pretty cool getting to invest and learning some very valuable lessons. I'm doing pretty decent at it too... course it helps that my father is pretty incredible at it. It's great times.
I got a B+ out of my first accounting class. It was pretty intense at times. I made a few friends that are going to be in 202 with me, so I'm looking forward to studying up and doing the project with them. It should be exciting. I really enjoyed that class. My next one starts up on Tuesday.
Through my accounting class, I was able to network and make a few contacts out in the field. It's pretty incredible. Through them, I've actually gotten interviews and some interest from companies. It's really exciting stuff.
And last, and most importantly, Hanna and I are doing quite well. She's currently up in Seattle because she has not one, but two job interviews up there. A fourth and third grade position. She's really excited/nervous about them. I'm so proud of her. I think of how she was willing to just move down to Las Vegas a year and a half ago in order to work and it just mystifies me. She's more daring than she'd give herself credit for. Wedding plans are going pretty great. We're down to just the little details now. The classes we had to take at our church are now done and we've rented out the Tacoma Lawn and Tennis Club for our reception.
Also, there are a whole slew of weddings that must be attended by me in the coming months. My longtime buddy Johan is getting married in May. Ryan and Sharon are getting married in July. Hanna and I are also going to Vegas in about a month because she's a bridesmaid in a wedding there. It's pretty awesome times. I'm glad that I made the choice to go ahead and go to Vegas for this wedding. It should be a great time!
