California trip has been great thus far; eating has been fulfilling(perhaps too much), hanging out always fun, views are amazing, the pets in the house im staying at are very or extremely friendly, and the family is a big family (large number of people) and friendlier than the dogs.
First thing we did was on sunday; it was one of his uncles birthday. to celebrate pat and i got invited to go to his family's friend's place along with the uncle and his children. we played horseshoes, drank beer, laughed, had a good time, got dirty cause they live on a dirt farm basically, and then it got dark so we went home to his aunt katie's place.
starting monday til wednesday we worked on the floors all day and night. we talked and thought the floors, it affected our actions and moods...except for tuesday. on tuesday night pat's cousin brenna took us out to 'taco night tuesday' in pacific beach. it was a cool bar: wooden everything, except for the seats which were plastic lawn chairs which put in a nice touch to the huge gas fire place with rocks on the bottom and fountain in the middle of it to hit the rocks and creates steam...or maybe the rocks were heated on the bottom and not by the fire, but it was creating steam with the water hitting it. ...or maybe the steam was fake too. i dunno, it was cool. had me some Blue Moon (only beer that i liked that was on tap), about 4 glasses and then talking to brenna, her roommate, and some random guys who decided to hit on the girls because, well...they are attractive.
Last night we went to Claim Jumper, a restaurant that serves food in HUUGE proportions. i got a 24oz porterhouse steak that came with fries and three large onion rings, mojito (not bad), and a gigantic desert called the Brownie Finale...we took a picture and apparently the desert was taller than my head and just as wide.
i also finished the Harry Potter book, finally and i was very much impressed, though i didn't like the ending much ...i guess cause i saw it coming or something like that. but i definitely think it was the best of all 7.
the rest of the trip consisted of me playing with dogs and cats, and hanging out with pat's family who graciously welcomed me and is superfriendly, not to mention funny. today i should see my brother and a new aunt that isnt really new, but i didnt know who she was kind of new.
good trip.
