well this vacation has been incredible so far
(not at all)
boring night friday including the worst tom hanks movie of all time (the ladykillers), texas chainsaw massacre saturday wasnt bad, saturday night at sals was decent at best, today hockey sucked cause the wind was ridiculous and tonight i lost money playing cards
i'm glad i got into bu today....ohh wait i didn't
on a brighter note my aunt had another hockey protege of a son...aidan james greene...22 inches long and 8 pounds 1 ounce...that's a big boy
if you're still with me at this point then you get a prize:
The longest nightmare leads him down the longest road
A road with no cars and no dogs and no signs,
but one
"Do not enter"
The words as concrete as the sidewalk on which he ponders
His slow, long strides mirroring the passing of memories through his mind
Passing slowly as if he is watching a movie and pausing it,
stopping at each scene to think,
and try to understand.
The sign stands out, and he stops to stare at it.
Is it a mere warning or a challenge to continue?
He's seen these signs before, avoided them with little harm,
Why not again?
A vulture comes to rest on the sign as he passes, as dark and curious
as the night horizon towards which he walks.
He has been walking for hours now, his memories becoming more dreary
with each
and every
step he takes.
A flash of light
A wave goodbye
The sky darkens again
A person walking away
The vulture circles him overhead
The person is gone
He hits the ground
The vulture swoops, quick as lightning
He wakens, cold sweat beading down his face
He is breathing
Yet he is dead.
