talk about obscure*

I'm a geek. I'm using a genealogy program (and why is it an A in genealogy?) not to track my own family, but to try to map the relationships between all the gods, demons, warriors, sages, vanaras (monkey people) etc. in the Ramayana. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=ramayana&r=67)

I haven't done anything this geeky since I catalogued and indexed all my simpsons video tapes and kept track until I had every one. (John even made a database for me. He could be sweet, sometimes.) Then I learned to download and I haven't used the VCR since. All those hours...

* I realize that this is not the original meaning of obscure. But it's what it means now. What's another word for trivia or bits of info that are so specialized and of no interest to most people? Not recondite. Not abstruse. Not esoteric. Hmmm.

Okay, that paragraph made me even more of a geek. I need a life.

*update* This is impossible. How on earth do I link up someone who was born from the mixing of two men's sperm in a pot? Or Brahma sneezing??
