Mechanic advise, anyone?

I got my alternator and battery replaced a few months ago. Yesterday morning my car wouldn't start because the battery was drained, despite my not having left anything on. Then when I went to leave work, the battery was dead again. Each time, a jump got it going, but it should not be draining like that... so the mechanic I usually go to, the one that replaced the battery before, is closed over the weekend. There is a different one that I've heard good things about that is open on the weekend. I'm not sure if I should just go to this other one, so the car can be fixed before I go to work on Monday, or if I should wait to go back to the first place, in hopes that if the problem has something to do with their previous job on the battery, they might give me a better deal on this? Does it work like that? Or should I just go to the new place? I don't have much experience with dealing with mechanics!
