notice of rejection
So, today I was with some guys from another one of the maintenance shops and they were discussing someone from their shop that just transferred to another shop. He got a great job and will be going to tech school for 6 months. I asked them which shop he was hired to and they said, AFIN shop, to which I responded "Oh, then I guess I didn't get the job". Yep, that's right, I didn't get the job that I applied for. They hired a less qualified person. I had to hear about it from the rumor mill. I immediately went to the night shift supervisor of AFIN shop to confirm the rumor, and he said he was surprised no one had told me, they decided it 2 weeks ago. WELL!!! fuck you very much, it's been swell, but the swelling will go down eventually!! He also told me that I interviewed very well, and that I ought to keep trying because they'd like to have me working over there. hmmmph. I will continue trying, but i dunno if i believe I'm wanted when they hired a less qualified person over me. In the coming months, I will be sending out a lot of applications all over my base.
