Ugh... I hate hyperbole and overexageration

I just want to say to everyone out there in the world... voting 'yes' on Prop 2 does *not* mean every man, woman and child is going to go out and get high this afternoon, and those of you who I've heard making statements to this fact need to get over yourselves.

Those that will are the ones who would have done so *anyway*... with or without the law passing. People smoke pot. Christ... people make movies & tv series about smoking pot. Many people have come to the conclusion that it is no better or worse than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, and thus have and will continue to do so freely.

Prop 2 was not about forcing other people to *start* doing drugs... what it really was was an economic decision that said we really would like to stop you from wasting our tax money arresting, prosecuting, and jailing these people. So to actually make comments in an exasperated, embittered voice like "Well I guess I should just go out after work and buy some marjuana now, huh?" is fucking stupid. And I hope against hope that you aren't so stupid you actually believe that is what will now occur with the passing of Prop 2. I just wish you wouldn't use hyperbole and overexageration to make your point, because it makes you sound like a moron and cuts out any attempts at a rational discussion on the subject.
