It is a good time to be a gamer. This coming Tuesday, Bioware's award-winning computer rpg game Mass Effect gets released to the PC. It was originally released for the XBox 360, which meant I never got to play it. Thankfully, they decided (along with their parent company EA most likely) to released it to the PC, as well as make some improvements to it. So come next week I will probably be putting aside World of Warcraft for a while and diving headfirst into Mass Effect.

The second item is released on June 6th, which is the 4th Edition of D&D. Now I don't get to play D&D very often (mainly it's online message-board gaming at ENWorld), but I always feel the need to have the books on hand. I just now made my purchase of all three books (Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Monster Manual) from Amazon, and thus was able to receive a 40% discount on the giftset. As all three books combined now cost over $100, the discount was fabulous. $62.00 for the giftset is just over $20.00 per book... and I'm very okay with paying that. Those will arrive probably mid-June (since I took the super-saver free shipping option), which just means I'll be playing Mass Effect instead until then.

Viva La Game!
