On Transformers
While I was watching the trailers before the movie Shrek 3(which was very good, btw), one particular movie caught my eye and I know that I just want to watch it.
Transformers.
To be honest, at first I thought it was another one of those car-bond-with-human racing movies, but when the meteorites started raining down, I was like, "What does THAT have to do with this movie?" and then it turns out the movie is a mecha battle type movie.
Well, before Code Geass I wouldn't even have given mecha stuff a chance, but ep 11 and such showed me that mech battles could actually be quite cool. And the CG effects in Transformers is amazing. The movements of the mechs are fluent and the transitions between one shape to another is very flowing. If there's a not-hotblooded strategist in the movie then count me screaming in. Except it looked like another hot-blooded action movie so I couldn't be expecting that much, I guess. But since it's small no. vs huge no., I can at least hope, right?
