One of the things I wonder about is why the general public is so interested in the public meltdown of young celebrity women (Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, etc.). I KNOW there are male celebrities doing the same thing--so why the fixation on the women?? I couldn't care less about Paris, etc., but I think the public fascination of these women reveals a woman-hating culture that likes keep their women in the kitchen. It's all part of the "too fat, too thin, not perfect" slam that all of us has to deal with.
