a weekend and then some

I don't even know where to begin ....

Friday lunch with David’s friend Emily and I had forgotten how absolutely beyond cool she was. She’s professional and she has goals but her dress and her style are so extreme. She was wearing a teal blue tank top over a collared shirt with matching teal blue eyeshadow and an animal print skirt over her jeans. FOR A COLLEGE INTERVIEW. She’s really cool. Ran into Tiffany Amber and Kim at Chipotle. (I took Jess there as well for Sunday dinner). The waiter guy there absolutely loves me to death. I could eat there all the time.

Had a pina colada with my co-workers at On the Border on the Buckhead loop. There were about a dozen of us who showed up, including ex-co-worker Jeff. He hates his new job (feeding zebra fish and incubating zebra fish eggs in a lab) and he’s already looking for something new and I feel bad for him. My old co-worker Alyce showed up, too. She did a Christmas trip in Jordan with her family so she told us all about that.

Had girly-time with Miriam and helped her get that Roxy Heart hair-do she was looking for. (Thank you TA for the “equipment”!)

Got in early at Magiano’s (after getting myself all prettied up) to help facilitate Jaime’s surprise birthday party, which was totally awesome. She really had no idea. I figured with as many people who were in on it that surely some small morceaux of information would have trinkled through to tip her off but she was really genuinely surprised. She started crying. I spent the dinner mostly hanging out with Stephanie and Jaime’s law school friends.

Then I met up with Jess and we left for Homecoming. She looked absolutely awesome. …although it was quite entertaining to see her trying to walk in heels. She was wearing a dress where her straps kept falling off her shoulders all night and while we were slow dancing I could look at her and I could see her shoulders where the strap had fallen and it was so sexy. It was one of those moments I'm going to remember for a long time.

Saturday night she and I went to go see the Vagina Monologues at Agnes Scott (les monologues des vagins, en français) and to be honest, they didn’t really live up to what I wanted to see. They cut parts out. They took monologues meant for one person and split it up to be dialogue between two or three people for more than half of the monologues which was frustrating and ridiculous. Mono- means ONE, people. geeez. On top of that they had an intermission (which you’re not allowed to do with that show) and the girl who performed “The woman who liked to make Vaginas happy” had lost her voice and had cut 10 or more of the bits form the moan-sequence for time purposes or because she couldn’t talk, one. There’s more I could go into, but it really ended up just being a sub-par show. I got to hang out with Jess, though and we got to see and say hi to her friend from YTI, so that was cool.

Sunday morning, Jess and I watched “If these walls could talk 2” because she’d never seen it before. The first one is sad, the second one is hot and the third one was funny and it’s so cool to see Jess get so excited like she was. She just gets so happy and she has this crazy energy and it’s so awesome.

I love hangning out with her. We had a really great weekend together.
She is awesome.
