School is over, i am officially a senior as of my last and only regents which was a last tuesday, minus a week
i start class (camp) at sage college next tuesday (advertising and photography)
i just got back from leadership camp (hahahahaha) a few hours ago
it was actually one of the most hilarious experiences ever, and it was at wells college, a former all girls school which is going coed next (this coming) school year. it's in the middle of nowhere on cayuga lake and is one giant hill (i may have missed practice for a couple of days but my legs hurt so much from those hills), oh its also said to be one of the most haunted campuses there, and if youve waked around there at night hearing creepy stories from a security guard whose touring a small group of you through scary buildings, id believe it.
but anyways, i have met people who are more insane and glorious and fun than i can ever hope to be, and im really going to miss them (aka erin, unique, and kristin), they were the best part of the camp thingie and we had the best group ever!
we were only there for about three days, fourish if you count the day we arrived and the day we left as separate days, because they can be completely meshed into one (monday to thursday). because of that amazingly short time we were together we got to know each other really quickly, as in we didnt hold back any info. i mean why be embarrassed about what youve done, where you live, what you like etc? and very good, though depressing point...it's not like we're going to see each other again
though i kinda wish we will, we had fun...especially staying up on the last night smacking the tv because it wouldnt play mulan and before that chillaxing in one of the girls rooms telling hilarious stories about buffy, boy friends, and each other
and the other best part about that: AHHHH THERE WAS A SLIP N' SLIDE THERE!!!!!
no joke, my elbows are bruised amazingly, theyre basically black but it was sooooo worth it
i mean come on
have you ever set up TWO slip n slides one behind the other and ran at full speed, sliding down and reaching the end of both in weather with 99.999999999999% humidity completely soaked and cooled off to thunderous applause? even the counselors did it...granted there were 3 of them and 1 did it against her will (punky!!), but w/e, they did set it up
all in all, id say that leadership camp was pretty fun, except for the ice breakers
and i definitely learned some new stuff
like that the worst way to die (we had an argument about this) would be by being stabbed
me: the worst way to go would have to be drowning
the rest of my group in protest: NO WAY because youd be doing it to yourself, like if you cant swim or if the current carries you out, or if your not strong enough to swim against the bricks tied to your body...thats all your fault
erin: the worst way to go would definitely be by being stabbed
me: wtf??
her: i mean come on, your sitting there and the person is taking a knife and stabbing you and your like "man, what are you doing...STOP THAT, COME ON I MEAN IT, WHY ARE YOU STABBING ME?!"
yes we are fun random people, and most of our conversations when the werent about getting stabbed were about sex, talking during sex, cooking, buffy, and just everything else that we found hilarious...as the counselors and other students who walked past us stuck their heads in and said "wtf was that?? you just said what?? damn (dang) you people are insane"
they may be correct
oh well
i needed to rant about that, like bennington, thats not an experience that im going to forget soon
practice tomorrow, so ill need a lot of sleep because ive gotten used to sleeping in (aka getting up at 8 instead of 5)
off to clean and do college stuff (because as pretty as wells is, theres no way im going there)
much love to all
