When it comes to editing ljs, I'm hopeless. I've tried the Help page, and sadly, I really don't understand any of this technobabel. So here are a few pressing questions I have for those of you who are lj experts (or just a lot more smarter than me)...
  • When posting to a community page, how can I post links with phrases like I can do with lj cut?
  • How ( Read more... )

1 - You need to use a html linking code. It goes like this: <*a href="http://www.yourlinkgoeshere.com">the text phrase whatever here <*/*a>

And remove the *'s it should work. Note that you need to change from Rich Text to HTML in order for it to work. You can also make it happen with Rich Text, then just write your text phrase, click the world button, add the link you want there and it'll appear. But html is really handy. :D

On the second one you'll also need html - it'll look like this: "made by <*lj user=deernatasha*> or <*lj comm=ontd*> or whatever. Without the *'s. :)

For making your profile look like that you will need a profile code, some layout makers do those - there are some in here, at least. You just basically add your text and copy + paste the whole thing to your profile :)

Custom CSS is for advanced customising of your layout. You can copy+paste any layout from fantastically talented people who make them and add headers, change the colors of the layout and stuff to them.

I hope it helps some? :D Don't hesitate to ask if something was just beyond crappily explained XD

I can't thank you enough! You're the first person to make this sound so easy! I already added the profile code. :) Thanks again! If there's anything else I don't understand, I'll ask.
