but just for arguments sake.
Abortion is not the mothers choice because she didn't create the child. First it takes two to provide the necessary "ingredients" for a child, and second of all even if both the parents want abortion it is still wrong because while the may have joined in the creation of the child, in the end it is God who gives and takes life from all things. Today's society would be quick to tell me otherwise, but they're also quick to tell me that the death penalty is right, premarital sex is ok, and that if its on the TV, its right.
On to rape. I understand it happens and it is a painful experience for the mother, however it is still a human life inside of her. She may not be able to support the child, however there are many families who are well off, but unable to have kids, and who would jump at the chance to have a child of their own. Adoption is a much better option. Also abortion is rarely a peaceful end. Mothers who have aborted there child often feel extreme regret, and as a result there lifes are changed for the worse.
Is down syndrome really the best u could come up with? its not even creative. In todays society down syndrome is not uncommon. People have grown accustomed to seeing these people on a daily basis, and they are not treated the same way they used to be. thanks to equal opportunity employers it is easier than ever for them to get jobs, and to function as normally as they can. Now i understand that they are different, and that people will look, and some insensitive, and ignorant people will talk, however this is not the child's fault, and their life should not be ended because of it. the solution to this problem is not to kill the child, but rather fix the problem. Most children with DS or other similar disorders are brought up in a special way leasing them to have a lot of self confidence, and to avoid conflict with others. I believe that if a parent sees other people talking, or gawking at their child it his his/her, duty, and probably even instinct to defend the child, and tell those people off. DS is nothing to be ashamed of, and it is not fair to the child to be killed for something that isn't their fault. Also it is worth noting that DS people are generally more pure in spirit then normal people, due to the fact that a lot of them are stuck in a childhood-like phase the majority of their lives
