Am I the only one who wants to punch the MTA in the face? I mean, seriously? They're hiking fares AND cutting service? Umm, hello?
Aren't these the same assholes whose employees went on strike, causing probably hundreds of people to lose jobs they just couldn't get to, among other things, because they wanted to mainain their inflated salaries and...whatever it was, for FUTURE employees? Gee, I wonder where this huge gap is coming from.
I was super-pissed about that strike back when it happened but in light of the recent economic turmoil we're in added to this new MTA atrocity, I really want to ask any one of those employees who willingly went on strike what the hell is wrong with them.
Just...ugh!! If I actually had to use MTA services anymore, you would hear me screaming in the streets about this one.
"Hey, we don't know how to budget so here's what we're going to do...give you LESS for MORE money. That's totally fair, right?"
That would be like my landlord saying, "Hey, so I can't afford the mortgage so I'm going to up your rent AND knock down one of your bedrooms. We're cool, right?"
