Indy rocks!

I went to see the new Indiana Jones yesterday. Yay! It was really, really great. To tell the truth, I was quite sceptical going in there; I thought "No way it can be as good and as fun as The Last Crusade". I even feared they might totally bugger it up. Oh, how utterly wrong I was! You can feel how much fun everybody had making the movie. It really shows! The film is hillarious, and not only in a ha-ha-good-gag kind of way, but in a very clever, we-make-fun-of-ourselves-and-have-fun-while-doing-it kind of way. Harrison Ford really rocks in this movie - and me saying that actually means something, because he normally isn't among my top favourite actors. They reference the earlier movies constantly as well as tons of other films, and you really have to keep up to get all the references, all the while trying not to roll on the floor laughing (okay, the latter might be because I have a weird sense of humour, but it coincided perfectly with that of the movie!).

My two favourite scenes were

1) When Indy sits at his desk, reminiscencing (mooning) over the picture of his dad which is a huge photo of Sean Connery smiling/grinning in his trade-mark way.

2) The motor-cyclce chase through the university, where Indy and Mutt end up in the library, sliding on the floor with the motor-cylce until stopping at the feet of a student who just looks up and says "Professor, good to see you. I had a question ..." *snorfle*

And I loved Mutt. This character could have turned out so, so awfull, but he's simply great.

Go! Watch!

On that not, I'll be off to Al Andalus for two weeks starting tomorrow. Yay, yay, yay!
