Hey is it just me...or....
....does LJ seem to be kind of dead or slow lately? I know that I've been so busy that I haven't had much time to comment on friends' journals or even community journals, but I scrolled through some of the places I belong to and noticed they seemed kinda dead too. I guess it's the end of the summer thing.
Speaking of that can you believe that August is here? I live in a neighborhood where there's a good number of families with children, and the other day, a couple of the young neighborhood boys came over selling stuff to support the football team at their school. These kids I've seen since they were like, going to kindergarten on the school bus that stops right down the block from my house. So when the kid rang the bell and I went to answer it, I was stunned to see just how tall he was, and that yeah LOL, his voice was changing. I said, " What grade are you guys in now?"
And his friend and him said, " Oh, we're going to be starting our first year in high school." Man, it just seemed like yesterday they were in grade school running down the street to catch the bus. My next door neighbor's kid was a baby when they moved here and now he's in fifth grade.
Time flies and for some reason this summer literally did that...FLEW BY.
