I'm not a fan at all of tattoos. They're so de rigeur these days that I preferred it in the day and age where it was unusual. Like sailors only had them.
But maybe I'm a hypocrite. I have a tattoo in a hidden place that's still there, because I wanted to fix it and turn it into something different. I was wasted when I got the original. And then there's the permanent tattooed eyeliner and microbladed tattooed brows...so I can't really say " I am not a fan" can I? :P

Yes you can, eye liner tattoo is a very practical thing to do a long with microbladed tattooed brows. Each of my tattoos has a story behind it and they’re also about my heritage. Hubby only has 4 one is an eagle, 2 are symbols for the club and the last one is his 1 %er tatt. He’s doesn’t want anymore.
But the picture of the tattoo you put up was beautiful with all the colours.

It’s Gaelic. My dad was from County Cork Ireland. I talk a lot about him on LJ. He passed away a few years ago. He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He chose to leave this world on his own terms Compassionate Euthanasia.

I enjoy learning Irish culture. I dated briefly a man actually from Belfast, and then one from a town near the Shannon River which I can't remember the name of. My fiancee has been to Ireland.
I would choose compassionate euthanasia anyday over suffering indefinitely. *HUGS*

My father as you know is 92. It kind of is hard to believe both my parents are still alive and functioning. He still drives, and my mother really gets around, although her mind is fading a bit, but heck, she's nine decades old.
My family tends to live forever. And for the most part they all had good quality lives. I couldn't stand being really old and being horribly sick or infirm. My grandmothers were 99 and 92, a great-grandmother was 97, grandpas were 89 and 91, and a great aunt died in her sleep at 103. My mother comes from a huge family, but they're all gone too, and her only remaining sister is 95.
The thing is...I have a feeling I'm going to get cancer because all of my family got it, and some were treated early on and lived long lives.

Oh, and that being said, I never understood people who are against compassionate euthansia. I don't know about Canada, but we have these right-wing 'Christians' who are only interesting in 'life' even if it means suffering, or being born with horrible deformities. Life isn't life to me if it's a life of pain and torment.
