Managing My Friend's List

Dec 20, 2010 20:49

Hello everyone and happy holidays.   I've been lurking a long time now without posting much of anything.  I've been coping much better lately with some of my new health issues, so I would like to come back to this journal full-time.  But, the only way I will be able to do this and keep up with spending more time with my fiance, writing table tennis style with a few friends, the Hotel California RPG here and my friends' posts, is if I weed out my friends list. Because Alexander Siddig (this guy here) is joining the cast of "Primeval" (here) starting January 1, 2011, I have a very strong feeling I'll be reading fanfic in that fandom as well.

Please do not take it personally if you end up getting removed.  I mean nothing by it at all ... it just means one or more of the following if you do:

1.  You are a friend who no longer maintains their journal on a regular basis.
2.  You are a friend who is not interested in Alexander Siddig (tee-hee, here he is again), any of his movie characters, Julian Bashir (this guy here) Elim Garak (the alien with the piercing blue eyes here), the "Star Trek:  Deep Space Nine" (this community here), and (also here), as well as (here) and (here), "Primeval (yep, here again), or "F Troop TV Show" fandoms, and/or you are not in the "Hotel California RPG" (again, here).
3.  You loathe reading or talking about slash fanfiction.
4.  You are not a pervert or a geek (as in here, here, and here).

For all my friends from "The Mummy" fandom, the third film from the franchise ruined my love of the fandom and somewhat ruined my love of the character Jonathan Carnahan.  While we are on the subject, "Spartacus:  Sand and Blood" pretty much ruined my appreciation of actor John Hannah.  But If you would like to remain on my f-list, just send me a message and I'll keep you on, but please let me hear from you from time to time?  Keep in mind you probably won't like what I post unless you like the above mentioned people/shows, slash, and me over-sharing occasionally about personal stuff  ... so be warned.
Beginning January 1, 2011, this journal will be friends-locked.  Please use this message after that time to comment if you would like to be added.  I will be less inclined to add friends continuing forward, but not because I don't like people, or you personally, it's that I just have to keep things simple and I want to be a good friend, not one who never comments on your posts or takes an interest in your life because I'm always playing catch-up on my friends posts.

Oh, and if you don't like cyber-hugs, you won't want to add me to your f-list.

*hugs*
