I agree. I'm sure she did say that ... since an answer to a question in interview format is the same as a quotation. Patricia Clarkson is very charming and 'real' in interviews.

I know a nurse who moved to my town after Katrina (we are 40 miles north of N.O.) and having lived in New Orleans all her life, knows quite a bit about Patricia Clarkson and her family. Patricia's mother is a popular politician there and was recently re-elected for another term.

Anyway, said nurse used to do home health care and hospice and had Patricia's grandmother as a patient for quite a while. She said the entire family is very loving and that Patricia was there often to spend time with her grandmother even though she had been living in New York with a successful career for many years.

I wish Patricia every success. She's one entertainer we are proud of here. (Boring Brittany Spears story coming up ... turn back now if you could care less.)

As opposed to Brittany Spears who was born and raised 30 minutes north of my hometown. As a matter of fact, when Brittany was still appearing in beauty pageants and performing in dance recitals as a young girl, I went to see her with my great-aunt who played cards with her grandmother. After the recital, my aunt scooped her up into a big hug and congratulated her while I stood nearby. I wouldn't see Brittany again in person until three years ago when I was walking into my salon to get a massage and she was walking out. She was nice enough to hold the door open for me ... lol. My massage therapist said she was so exhausted from her schedule that she slept through most of her massage.

The older sister of a very dear friend of our family (he's like a brother to me) was Brittany's dance teacher until she moved to Orlando to do "The Mickey Mouse Club". So, if you are still reading this, that is the end of my Brittany story and you can move on with your life now.

In a nutshell ... Patricia is someone I'm very proud to say is from my area of the country. Took me long enough to say that, huh? I get rather long- winded at times ... my apologies.
