so if you lose your faith, babe, you can have mine

It's been quite awhile.  Again.  Lots of new things, lots of old things, lots of near, dear, and queer things.

I've changed my major.
sweeny_todd will be sad, because I changed the chemistry one and not the creative writing one.  Now I'm an anthropology and creative writing double major with a minor in gender studies.  I'm hoping to write books and papers on (trans)gender topics, so this is good.  Anne Bolin, who is a renowned scholar on trans issues, is a professor at my university and a friend of mine, so I intend to declare and then acquire her as my faculty mentor, since our interests for research (and personal things) align so well.  I also met Kate Bornstein last month, who has changed my life about three times in the last few years, so that was awesome.  I love Kate.

I've made so many new friends since last posting, here at school (and the surrounding area) and also afar.  Very blessed to now have
shawnaree and
aredridel in my life, I'm so glad I met them both, in addition to the countless other new friends I've made.  My friends, Annie, Kate, and my own period of self-discovery all brought me to where I am in having found a true calling, something I can honestly say I wouldn't mind doing for the rest of my life... and not just because "I need to eat", which was the old excuse.

I'm sitting in the library procrastinating on an English assignment and thinking of all of you in LJ-land.  Hope everyone is well.

Warmly,

- L'auteur.
